MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering disciplines.
Mechanical engineering is a professional programme which helps students to understand the working mechanisms of heavy tools and machineries. Further, it involves in the design, production, and operation of machinery.
Today mechanical engineers are pursuing developments in such areas like composites, and nanotechnology.
It also overlaps with aerospace engineering, metallurgical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, and other engineering disciplines to varying amounts.
Mechanical engineers may also work in the field of biomedical engineering, specifically with biomechanics, transportation & routing, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons, bio-nanotechnology, modelling of biological systems and rapid prototyping.
Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre is having a facility to train students in CNC Machines, CAD and CAM with the latest design, analysis and modelling software. Our instrumentation lab is equipped with modern measuring instruments.
In nutshell, mechanical engineering is a versatile branch of engineering which offers different job opportunities almost in all areas both in government and private sectors.
