MCA redefined, to expand your horizons

At NCERC, our MCA department has completed 14 glorious years of service in molding the IT Professionals with right level of technical abilities and apt communicational skillsets. The academic achievement of our MCA department has always maintained it among the top-rated departments of the state. Among the 11 batches of students who graduated through the department, 7 batches of students have secured 100% results during their final year, which itself proves its academic mettle.

The All India Council for Technical Education recently announced that the duration of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree program has been reduced from the current three years to two years. The new course duration will come into effect from the academic session 2020-21 and is sure to attract more aspirants to this wonderful PG program which holds a Professional status. Recently during the Covid19 period, we have been witnessing the prominent role that the IT is providing to almost all domains, be it business, education or governance.. This has undoubtfully boosted the very demand of Computer Application Professionals; and NCERC-MCA is all set to deliver that breed of specialists.

Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are equally prioritized for us. Since the beginning of the department a south-zone intercollegiate meet Prayaana is being celebrated annually. Adding up to the technical-literaria, we have published 13 annual versions of Technical Magazine Pizada. Students engage themselves in Quiz, Debate, and Presentation based activities through various Clubs of MCA-Association. Department organizes Industrial Visits and Environmental Visits bringing the student closer to the corporate and realistic world. The celluloid club has brought out 4 short-films, 2 Albums and 2 Documentaries, with students on various roles in creative and technical crew. For e-governance support, we have been the pillars for executing data collection&analysis for Central govt. projects like GramSwaraj and UnnathBharatAbhiyan. In the social-extension front, the MCA students have prompted some remarkable programs instilling within themselves, a strong morale towards the underprivileged sectors of the society. The department is more delighted, as the godlike essence of social commitment still continues through MCA-Alumni family.

Keeping all professional dignities, maintaining all positive modes of discipline, these Post Graduate students mentored by our highly motivated Faculty members, have altogether made the MCA department to feel as a family.
