Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NCERC Pampadi, Thrissur
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (NCERC), under Nehru Group of Institutions (NGI) located at Pampady, Thiruvilwamala, Thrissur, organised a Webinar on “Patent Documentation Preparation” in association with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cell (IEDC) of Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre on 9th May 2020. Prof. Rajkumar G, Assistant professor EEE Department and IEDC-Nodal officer NCERC, presented the step by step procedure for drafting the patent document and preparing guidelines. He also elaborated on the forms needed to be submitted for obtaining the patent. Around 100+ participants from various institutions under NGI actively participated in the webinar and the program was very interactive where students got an opportunity to learn the initial process in patent application. The program received excellent feedback with high appreciations about the speaker. Webinar also proudly announced the achievement of EEE department NCERC that three students from the department have successfully completed their pilot project by developing a prototype with fiscal support from Government through NewGen-IEDC, NGI. Department is extremely pleased to note that the team has started to prepare a patent draft for their product for which the information shared through the webinar has been very beneficial.
